What's your favorite thing about Mt Pleasant?: Oh that's so hard! I've lived here for 20 years while raising my family. I've loved being able to walk my kids to our bilingual neighborhood school, Bancroft Elementary, and watch them build their own sense of community with our neighbors.
If you’re out and about after work, where do you go?: I love to have a quick date with my husband and sit at the bar at Elle. The staff is friendly, they make great cocktails and the food is divine.
What’s something people might not know about Mt Pleasant?: Like so many neighborhoods in DC, Mt P has a rich and unique history. Thanks to its proximity to downtown and the development of streetcars, it was really the first suburb in DC - though no one would consider it suburban today. Its residents today are a true cross section of the city.
What’s the market like in Mt Pleasant?: The school feeder pattern, our diverse community, the wide array of locally-owned shops and eateries, along with the proximity to Rock Creek, have made Mt P a desirable place to live. It can be competitive and correctly-priced homes aren’t usually on the market for long. We have several agents on the Team who live here, so we’re a great resource for hearing about homes before they come on the market.
